At Avon County we have a mixture of established experienced rowers and an active group of novice veterans who have recently taken up the sport. Many of the novice veteran rowers have joined the club through our Learn To Row courses which we run usually every Easter.
Competition and achievements
Our experienced veterans compete regionally, on the Tideway and nationally. We are proud that one of our current crews are the National VetE 4- champions, but this achievement sits alongside local regional wins and entries into events throughout the year which our veterans enjoy taking part.

Many of our veterans enjoy both sculling and sweep oar, so there is opportunity to expand your talent as an active rower!
Whatever your level or status we encourage you to join our active veteran squad.
Session times and training
All year round
Saturday 9am
Sunday 8.30am
Summer
Wednesday 6.30pm
In addition during the winter months many of our veteran squad members attend our general club circuit session on a Wednesday evening (7pm).
