Coxing and Coaching
Coxing
The club is always looking for more coxes! The cox(swain) is the person who steers the crew and gives them instructions. It is a good way of getting some fresh air without a great deal of effort and of making new friends! Coxing can be very rewarding - whether the crew you are a part of are elite performers or beginners at their first race! The club is happy to teach people to cox!
If you would like to have a go at coxing - or maybe get back into it, please get in touch!
Coaching
As the club expands, so do the number of coaches we need! You don't need any rowing experience to become a coach, although it helps! Like coxing, coaching can be very rewarding and is a good way of getting involved with the club!
All areas of the club need coaching help from the juniors right through to the veterans, so if you'd like to have a go, why not?
