This will be at Saltford Hall at 7:00 pm and last about an hour.
Anyone who has volunteered to help at the Avon County Head is encouraged to come so that we have lots of people to fill the Race Monitor slots on the day.

CONGRATULATIONS!
Congratulations to Avon's veteran coxless four, winners of the Vet F4- Pennant at the Veteran Fours Head held yesterday on the Tideway.
Well done also to the W Vet E4x-, who put in a good performance against strong competition from Mortlake Anglian and Alpha.
Monkton Bluefriars Head of the River Race
More than 170 crews descended on Saltford for the Annual Monkton Bluefriars Head of the River Race last weekend.

Junior Training Camp - September 2009
Fifteen Junior member and four coaches travelled up to Nottingham in September to spend a weekend training on the 2000m course there.

England call up
Sean Bathe-Taylor and Billy Downey along with coach Austin Bathe-Taylor came home with 2 gold medals for the coxless pair and eight from the Home countries match in Nottingham.


National Champions
HannahO won junior womens eights at the National Championships and gained selection for Wales in the coxless four and eight for the Home Countries match.
Gabbie Rodriguez also came home with a gold medal in the U23 double sculls, racing for Bath University.

Newsflash!
The Bristol branch of IKEA has reported increased sideboard sales this week - a spokeswoman for the company said "All the customers were members of Avon County Rowing Club with a major pot storage problem after llandaff, Veteran Henley and Ironbridge". Worried Rowers with small houses are contemplating switching to cricket or football where trophies are less likely.

The club was formed in 1973, following a merger of the former Avon and Bristol clubs. We are situated in Saltford, just off the A4 between Bath and Bristol.
